In a major step toward strengthening global fertilizer supply chains, North West Phosphate today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Adani Enterprises Limited. Under this agreement, North West Phosphate will supply high-quality Australian phosphate rock for fertilizer manufacturing. This move supports global food security and improves nutrient availability for farmers.

Queensland — and North West Phosphate in particular — has a long history of collaboration with Adani. Their relationship is built on mutual trust and a shared goal of delivering projects with global impact. This new partnership reinforces their vision to provide high-quality nutrient solutions to farmers and communities across Australia, India, and the broader region.

During discussions, North West Phosphate and Adani highlighted the strategic benefits of the MOU. They presented these advantages to the Premier of Queensland, Hon. David Crisafulli MP, underscoring how the collaboration will boost regional economic development and promote sustainable agriculture.

This MOU also adds momentum to the proposed PhosOne Joint Venture between North West Phosphate and Sibanye-Stillwater Australia. The Queensland Government has declared it a Prescribed Project, recognizing its strategic importance.

Together, these steps reflect a strong, long-term commitment to advancing nutrient security, driving economic growth, and promoting sustainable fertilizer solutions globally.
