Engineers India Limited (EIL) jumped 2.38% to Rs 213.95 after it won a Rs 618 crore contract. The company will provide project management consultancy (PMC) and engineering procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for a new fertilizer plant in Africa.

A major African fertilizer company awarded the contract to EIL. The project covers complete consultancy and engineering services, and EIL will execute it over 24 months.

EIL has not disclosed specific contract terms due to confidentiality agreements. However, the contract value highlights EIL’s expanding international fertilizer project presence. The company confirmed that its promoters or group companies do not hold any interest in the awarding entity, and the contract is not a related-party transaction.

This project strengthens Engineers India’s international portfolio and showcases its expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects across hydrocarbons, petrochemicals, fertilizers, metallurgy, and ports & terminals.

EIL is a leading engineering consultancy and technology licensing company with a DSIR-recognized R&D center. In Q1 FY26, the company posted a 28.6% decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 65.40 crore, despite a 39.5% rise in revenue to Rs 870.36 crore compared to Q1 FY25.

The African fertilizer project will further enhance EIL’s international project capabilities. It also reinforces EIL’s reputation as a reliable partner for executing large industrial projects worldwide.
