The Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) is set to transform fertilizer production by establishing two advanced Nano DAP manufacturing units. These facilities will be located in Phulpur and Aonla, each with a production capacity of 36,500 tonnes per day (TPD).
This ambitious project is estimated to cost around Rs 7,000 crore, highlighting IFFCO’s dedication to innovation and sustainable agriculture. Nano DAP (Di-Ammonium Phosphate) is a groundbreaking fertilizer known for its efficiency and reduced environmental impact compared to traditional fertilizers.
At present, the project is awaiting environmental clearance, a crucial step before construction begins. Once approved, these units are expected to significantly boost India’s ability to meet the rising demand for advanced fertilizers. This initiative will enhance crop yields and support the agricultural sector’s growth.
IFFCO’s plan aligns with its mission to adopt cutting-edge technologies and strengthen India’s self-reliance in fertilizer production. Farmers across the country stand to benefit from this project, which aims to provide cost-effective and sustainable solutions for modern agriculture.
Stay tuned for updates as the project moves through the approval process.
