Brazil Potash Corp Secures MOU with Keytrade

Brazil Potash Corp

Brazil Potash Corp. (“Brazil Potash” or the “Company”), a leading developer in Brazil’s potash fertilizer sector, has reached a major milestone. On January 21, 2025, the Company announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between its subsidiary, Potássio do Brasil Ltda., and Keytrade AG, a global leader in fertilizer trading. This agreement covers the potential purchase of up to one million tons of potash annually from the Autazes Potash Project.

Strengthening Brazil’s Potash Sector

Adriano Espeschit, President of Potássio do Brasil, highlighted the importance of this partnership:

“This MOU with Keytrade is a critical step for Brazil Potash’s growth. It reinforces our position as a potential leading domestic potash supplier. Along with our existing agreement with AMAGGI, we now have commitments for 1.5 million tons of our planned 2.4 million tons annual production. This provides strong support for project financing.”

The Autazes Potash Project aims to reduce Brazil’s reliance on imports. Currently, imports supply over 95% of the country’s potash needs. The project’s annual production capacity of 2.4 million tons will meet 17% of Brazil’s demand. This will strengthen food security globally.
