Namrup, Assam – October 2025:
The Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Limited (AVFCCL) has floated two key tenders for its upcoming Ammonia-Urea Fertilizer Plant in Namrup, marking the official launch of on-ground activities for the ₹10,601-crore Namrup IV Project—a milestone initiative to revive fertilizer manufacturing in Northeast India.


Tender 1 – Bush Clearing, Topographical & Contour Survey

  • Location: BVFCL Premises, Namrup, Dibrugarh District, Assam

  • Submission Window: October 21 – 30, 2025

Domestic bidders can participate through the Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP) under a two-bid system (technical and commercial).
The selected agency will clear the site, conduct detailed mapping, and complete contour surveys to prepare the ground for upcoming civil and structural work.


Tender 2 – Hiring of Agency for Geotechnical Investigation Work

AVFCCL has also announced a tender for “Hiring of Agency for Geotechnical Investigation Work for Proposed Ammonia-Urea Fertilizer Plant of M/s Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Ltd.”

This tender involves soil testing, borehole drilling, and lab analysis to assess ground conditions essential for foundation and structural design. It follows the bush-clearing and survey tender, indicating rapid progress toward full-scale construction.


Namrup IV Project: A Key Step in Assam’s Fertilizer Revival Mission

The Namrup IV Ammonia-Urea Project is a brownfield expansion within the Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) complex.
With an investment of ₹10,601 crore, the new facility will produce 12.7 lakh metric tonnes of urea per year, replacing outdated units with modern, energy-efficient technology to strengthen India’s self-reliance in fertilizer production.
