Fertilizer black marketing in Siddharthnagar has come under strict administrative action after authorities uncovered serious irregularities at a wholesale fertilizer outlet. Acting on the directions of the District Magistrate, a joint inspection team conducted a surprise raid on December 22, 2025, in the Bansi tehsil area.
The inspection team included the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Bansi) and the District Agriculture Officer. Officials inspected a wholesale fertilizer dealer located in the Bazardeha market area. After finding multiple violations, the administration suspended the dealer’s license with immediate effect.
Fertilizer Black Marketing in Siddharthnagar: Violations Detected
During the raid, officials thoroughly checked fertilizer stock and sales records. The team found irregularities in the storage and distribution of urea, DAP, and other fertilizers. Records were either incomplete or not updated.
Inspectors also found evidence of stock beyond prescribed limits and violations of distribution norms. These lapses confirmed active involvement in fertilizer black marketing in Siddharthnagar, prompting swift regulatory action.
Based on these findings, authorities initiated proceedings under the Fertilizer Control Order (FCO), 1985, and suspended the shop’s license.
Officials Warn Other Fertilizer Dealers
District Agriculture Officer Mohammad Mujammil said that providing fertilizers to farmers at government-approved prices remains the administration’s top priority. He made it clear that black marketing, hoarding, and irregular practices will not be tolerated.
He added that the administration will continue inspections across the district. Officials will take strict action against any dealer found violating rules.
Advisory Issued for Farmers
The Agriculture Department urged farmers to always collect proper purchase receipts when buying fertilizers. Farmers should also verify prices before making payments.
Officials advised farmers to report any irregularities immediately to the agriculture department or local authorities. This step will help curb fertilizer black marketing and ensure fair distribution.
