Fertilizer Supply Gonda to Be Ensured at 450 Private Shops

Fertilizer supply Gonda will be ensured through 450 private fertiliser shops as the district administration steps up efforts to maintain smooth availability during the rabi season. District Magistrate Vipin Kumar Jain has introduced measures to streamline the distribution system.

Under the new arrangement, farmers can purchase fertiliser daily from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at designated private shops across the district.

Cooperative Societies to Serve Registered Members Only

The District Magistrate clarified that cooperative societies will supply fertiliser only to their registered members. Farmers who are not members of cooperative societies will not receive fertiliser from these centres.

Such farmers will have to purchase fertiliser from private shops. According to officials, this step will reduce overcrowding at cooperative societies and improve transparency in distribution.

The administration said the fertilizer supply Gonda situation is better this year compared to the previous season.

Urea Distribution Shows Significant Improvement

As of 22 December, the administration has distributed urea to 53,621 farmers, compared to 21,970 farmers during the same period last year. In terms of quantity, farmers have received 4,975.809 metric tons more urea than last year.

Officials said the improved distribution reflects better planning and monitoring during the current rabi season.

Strict Warning Against Black Marketing and Overpricing

The District Magistrate issued a strong warning against black marketing, overpricing, and hoarding of fertilisers. He said authorities will take strict action if they detect any irregularities.

Such action may include registration of FIRs, cancellation of licences, and arrests of shop owners or middlemen involved.

He also urged farmers to buy fertiliser only as per their actual requirement. Farmers should immediately report any case of overpricing or black marketing to the District Agriculture Officer or the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate.

The administration said it will continue close monitoring to ensure smooth fertilizer supply Gonda throughout the season.
