Jhabua, September 2025 – The MBPPL Meghnagar Fertilizer Project will bring a major boost to India’s fertiliser industry. Madhya Bharat Phosphate Pvt. Ltd. (MBPPL), part of Shree Pushkar Chemicals and Fertilisers, plans to invest ₹250 crore in a new unit at MPIDC Meghnagar, Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh.
MBPPL Meghnagar Fertilizer Project Capacity Details
The proposed facility includes:
Complex Fertilisers (NPK, granulated): 1,000 MTPD (3,00,000 TPA)
Phosphoric Acid (52% P2O5): 200 MTPD (60,000 TPA)
Sulphuric Acid (98%): 500 MTPD (1,50,000 TPA)
Rock Phosphate Beneficiation: 160 MTPD (48,000 TPA)
By-products include gypsum cake (2,10,000 TPA), H₂SiF₆, and 1,500 kVA of electricity from WHRB.
Investment, Jobs and Environment
The MBPPL Meghnagar Fertilizer Projects requires ₹250 crore investment and will create 150 jobs during construction, plus 120 permanent jobs during operations. MBPPL has committed to a zero liquid discharge policy, 21,000 sq. m greenbelt with 5,250 trees, and use of gypsum and fly ash in cement and bricks.
