NFL Fertilizer Tender: India Invites Long-Term DAP, NPK, NPS Import Deals
National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) has issued a new NFL fertilizer tender to secure long-term import agreements for key phosphate-based fertilizers. The move highlights the company’s growing focus on strengthening its trading portfolio in DAP, NPK, NPS, and TSP segments.
Under this NFL fertilizer tender, suppliers have been invited to participate in long-term offtake agreements. The bid submission deadline has been set for 7 May, giving global suppliers an opportunity to enter into the Indian fertilizer market through a structured contract mechanism.
NFL has specified demand for major fertilizer grades including DAP 18-46, NPS 20-20-0+13S, NPK 12-32-16, and NPK 10-26-26. However, the scope of the NFL fertilizer tender is broader, as the company will also consider other grades approved under India’s Fertilizer Control Order (FCO).
The contracts awarded under this NFL fertilizer tender will be valid for one year from the date of signing. All shipments will be priced on a CFR India basis, ensuring cost clarity for both suppliers and the importer.
NFL’s import volumes have shown strong growth. During the fertilizer year April 2025 to March 2026, the company imported 612,093 tonnes of DAP, along with 144,040 tonnes of NPS and 26,762 tonnes of NPK fertilizers. This marks a significant increase compared to the previous year, when NFL imported 553,928 tonnes of DAP and did not import any NPS or NPK.
With this fertilizer tender, the company is clearly positioning itself to become a major player in the trading of phosphate and potash-based fertilizers. The increasing import volumes and structured procurement strategy indicate NFL’s long-term commitment to expanding its presence in the global fertilizer supply chain.
