Mumbai, September 24, 2025 – Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd (RCF) has issued a global NPK fertilizer import tender in India 2025. The company seeks suppliers for NPK (10-26-26) and Ammonium Phosphate Sulphate (APS 20-20-0-13) under its latest Request for Quotation (RFQ). Interested bidders must submit their offers by 1600 hrs on September 26, 2025.
Tender Highlights
RCF announced two major fertilizer import parcels. Firstly, the company requires 50,000 MT (±10%) of NPK (10-26-26), white or off-white, to discharge at East Coast ports of India. Secondly, it seeks 50,000 MT (±10%) of APS (20-20-0-13), brown or dark brown, for discharge at West Coast ports.
Moreover, each shipment must include a minimum of 25,000 MT (±10%). In addition, both products should arrive by October 25, 2025. The discharge rate has been fixed at 10,000 MT PWWD SHEXEIU.
These terms provide flexibility for bidders. As a result, RCF expects wider participation from international suppliers.
NPK Fertilizer Import Tender India Specifications
RCF emphasized that NPK imports must meet the Indian Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) standards. The requirements include:
Moisture: Max 1.5%
Total Nitrogen: Min 10%
Available Phosphorus (P₂O₅): Min 26%
Water Soluble Potassium (K₂O): Min 26%
Granule size: 90% between 1–4 mm sieve
Therefore, suppliers must guarantee both color uniformity and consistent granule size. Otherwise, the shipment will not qualify.
APS Fertilizer Specifications
Similarly, the APS (20-20-0-13) parcel must satisfy strict FCO conditions:
Moisture: Max 1%
Total Nitrogen: Min 20%
Ammoniacal Nitrogen: Min 18%
Available Phosphorus (P₂O₅): Min 20%
Sulphur: Min 13%
Granule size: 90% between 1–4 mm sieve
Moreover, uniform granule quality remains non-negotiable. Consequently, only compliant cargo will pass inspection.
Manufacturing and Quality Conditions
RCF clearly stated that manufacturers must rely on a chemical reaction process, not just steam granulation. In addition, each bidder must attach a manufacturer’s undertaking that confirms compliance and outlines the production method.
If cargo fails to meet FCO norms, RCF will reject it. Furthermore, the supplier must refund the landed cost along with all handling charges.
Pricing and Payment
Bidders should quote prices on a CFR sight basis and provide an FOB and freight breakup. Meanwhile, RCF will allow credit options of 30, 60, 90, or 180 days from the Bill of Lading date.
Finally, all offers will remain valid until October 1, 2025, 2000 hrs IST.
