Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited (RCF) has announced the RCF CMD appointment of Shri Shivakumar Subramaniam as Chairman & Managing Director, effective February 13, 2026, following a directive from the Department of Fertilizers under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.
The Board of Directors approved the leadership transition during its meeting held on the same day.
Subramaniam will serve as CMD until July 31, 2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Leadership Transition at RCF
The appointment was made in accordance with the government order issued by the Department of Fertilizers (Order No. 78/02/2024-HR-(PSU), dated February 13, 2026).
At the same time, Ms. Nazhat J. Shaikh, who was holding additional charge as Chairman & Managing Director, stepped down from the position effective February 13, 2026. Her interim leadership arrangement had been communicated earlier through stock exchange filings in November 2025 and January 2026.
This RCF CMD appointment marks an important leadership transition for the public-sector fertilizer company.
Profile of RCF CMD Shivakumar Subramaniam
Shri Shivakumar Subramaniam brings over 27 years of experience in the fertilizer industry. He joined RCF in 1998 as Senior Officer (Finance) and has since worked across multiple strategic and financial functions.
He holds:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce
MBA in Finance
Costing Module-Consultant certification
During his tenure at RCF, he has handled key responsibilities such as:
Treasury operations
Taxation and corporate accounts
Corporate financial strategy
Fertilizer policy and subsidy coordination
Ministry coordination activities
Project evaluation and financing
Joint venture investments
His long association with RCF gives him deep operational and financial insight into the organization.
Board Meeting Details
The Board meeting that approved the RCF CMD appointment began at 5:15 PM and concluded at 5:45 PM on February 13, 2026.
RCF confirmed that the company has complied with disclosure requirements under Regulation 30 of SEBI Listing Regulations and relevant SEBI circulars.
This leadership change comes at a crucial time for RCF as the company continues to strengthen its fertilizer production, financial strategy, and long-term growth plans under new management.
