The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) has issued a fresh tender for the supply of Ammonium Sulphate in bulk, inviting competitive bids from eligible producers and traders.
The tender, released on January 6, 2026, aims to procure up to 25,000 metric tonnes of Ammonium Sulphate conforming to Indian FCO specifications. FACT floated the enquiry through the Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP) under an open Tender Details
FACT allows bidders to offer any quantity up to 25,000 MT. The company may split the order among multiple suppliers if required. In such cases, suppliers must match the landed L1 price.
The cargo will be discharged at New Mangalore Port, with a discharge rate of 8,000 MT per weather working day. The maximum permissible arrival draft is 10.50 metres. FACT has fixed the arrival laycan on or before January 31, 2026
Price Basis and Credit Terms
Bidders must quote prices on both FOB load port and CFR New Mangalore Port basis. FACT has advised bidders to offer a 180-day credit period, which will form the basis for price evaluation.
If a bidder offers a shorter credit period, FACT will load interest for evaluation. The company will evaluate bids based on landed cost, including insurance, port charges, customs duty, and applicable interest
Eligibility Criteria for Bidders
The tender is open to manufacturers, producers, and traders. Producers must have supplied at least one bulk fertilizer shipment of 20,000 MT on CFR basis in the last five years. Traders must meet similar experience criteria for fertilizers or other dry bulk cargo.
FACT has exempted manufacturers and select traders from submitting an Earnest Money Deposit. Other bidders must submit an EMD of USD 1 per metric tonne through banking channels
Bid Submission Schedule
The last date for bid submission is January 12, 2026, at 14:00 IST. FACT will open the bids on the same day at 14:30 IST. Bidders must submit all documents strictly as per the tender terms.
FACT clarified that post-bid price or commercial clarifications will not be accepted, except when sought by the company.
