The FACT HURL MoU for the financial year 2026–27 aims to strengthen fertiliser availability across key agricultural regions in India. Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) and Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) formalised the agreement to improve fertiliser distribution and support farmers during peak demand periods.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by S Sakthimani and Shiba Prasad Mohanty.
Under the agreement, the two public sector fertiliser companies will jointly ensure the availability of 1.10 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) of fertilisers across their respective operational territories during FY27. The collaboration is expected to strengthen supply chains and improve timely fertiliser deliveries in priority regions.
The FACT HURL MoU also reflects growing cooperation among government-backed fertiliser producers to enhance distribution efficiency and stabilise fertiliser supply in the country. The initiative is expected to support agricultural productivity and improve input availability for farmers.
Industry observers believe such partnerships among public sector fertiliser companies can play an important role in maintaining balanced fertiliser availability during high-demand seasons. The agreement also highlights continued efforts to strengthen India’s food security through better coordination within the fertiliser sector.
