Hengam Petrochemical Company has reached full-capacity ammonia production, marking a major operational breakthrough in the unit’s second year of operation. This achievement reflects the company’s technical progress and strong push toward optimizing its fertilizer value chain.
According to the company’s public relations office, the ammonia unit successfully achieved 100% of its nameplate capacity after several months of targeted improvements. These efforts included process optimization, equipment upgrades, stronger operational stability, and enhanced coordination among support units. As a result, the plant delivered its highest performance since commissioning.
During the second-anniversary celebration of the ammonia unit, CEO Seyyed Abdolmajid Khaksar congratulated employees and highlighted their teamwork as the driving force behind this milestone. He emphasized that the achievement shows the company’s technical maturity, disciplined operations, and strong synergy across departments.
Khaksar also expressed confidence in the company’s progress toward bringing its urea unit online soon. “With the experience we have gained and the motivation we hold today, I am confident that we will bring the urea unit into operation with exceptional strength and quality,” he said.
Urea Unit Expected by December
According to the official project timeline, Hengam Petrochemical’s urea unit is scheduled to come onstream by the end of December, further expanding the company’s production capacity in the nitrogen fertilizer segment.
