The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) held a high-level meeting with the Ambassador of Sudan to Jordan, Hassan Swar Dahab, to discuss strengthening cooperation in the phosphate fertilizer industry and meeting Sudanese market requirements.
The meeting, held at JPMC headquarters in Amman, brought together CEO Abdel Wahab Rawad and the Sudanese delegation to explore opportunities for increased fertilizer supply, technical exchange, and investment collaboration between the two countries.
🇯🇴 Strong Jordan–Sudan Economic Relations
Rawad reaffirmed the depth of relations between Jordan and Sudan, particularly in the field of economic cooperation. He highlighted JPMC’s commitment to expanding global partnerships in line with the Royal directives to attract investment and build sustainable industrial ties.
He also reviewed the company’s achievements in specialized fertilizers, manufacturing development, and future expansion projects, indicating readiness to play a more active role in supporting agricultural requirements in Sudan.
📦 JPMC Offers DAP Supply & Technical Support to Sudan
JPMC expressed its willingness to supply DAP fertilizer to Sudan while also providing Jordanian expertise in phosphate exploration, mining and production technologies, to help develop Sudan’s phosphate sector and improve its technical proficiency.
Ambassador Swar Dahab welcomed this proposal, noting Sudan’s strong interest in benefiting from Jordan’s advanced experience and capabilities in phosphate-based industries.
🔍 Cooperation Outlook
The visit was described as productive by both sides, opening new avenues for partnership in fertilizer supply, industrial capacity building, and mineral resource development. Both parties agreed to continue discussions on future projects that would enhance production efficiency and expand fertilizer availability in the Sudanese market.
The meeting marks a step toward deeper bilateral cooperation in phosphate fertilizers, mining expertise transfer, and sustainable agricultural support.
