Myanmar Fertilizer Import 2026: MFSPEA Invites Companies for Competitive Pricing Scheme

The Myanmar Fertilizer, Seed and Pesticide Entrepreneurs Association (MFSPEA) has opened applications for companies that want to participate in the Myanmar fertilizer import 2026 programme. The association plans to import urea and NPK 15-15-15 fertilizers from January to March 2026 through a competitive pricing system. This initiative follows guidance from the Urea Fertilizer Purchasing and Distribution Steering Committee and aims to ensure fair access to quality fertilizer for growers.

How to Join the Myanmar Fertilizer Import 2026 Programme

MFSPEA has invited interested companies to contact the association by 4 pm on 27 November 2025. They can reach out through the official phone numbers and email addresses provided in the announcement. In addition, MFSPEA will prioritize suppliers that meet quality standards and offer strong pricing under the competitive system.

Reference Prices and Market Guidance

To support fair trade, MFSPEA has instructed member companies to follow the official reference prices for November 2025. Urea (large granular) is priced at K107,100 per 50-kg bag, while DAP stands at K139,700 per 50-kg bag in the Yangon Region. Prices may rise slightly in other regions due to transport costs.
Moreover, the association continues to publish reference prices regularly to prevent market manipulation. Farmers can report overcharging directly to the committee through the published contact numbers.

Regulatory Oversight Strengthens the Myanmar Fertilizer Import 2026 Initiative

The Fertilizer Committee holds quarterly meetings to ensure a steady supply of quality fertilizer. During its recent review, the Fertilizer Technology Group approved 12,297 registrations. Additionally, 2,088 registrations were voluntarily cancelled, while 2,867 were revoked after expiry. Another 7,342 registrations remain under processing.
These actions support the governmentโ€™s broader plan to stabilise supply and improve transparency as the Myanmar fertilizer import 2026 programme moves forward.

Why the Myanmar Fertilizer Import 2026 Scheme Matters

This import plan aims to reduce shortages, protect farmers from price spikes and maintain fertilizer quality across the country. Therefore, the competitive pricing model is expected to encourage healthy participation among importers. As a result, growers may gain better access to reliable fertilizer ahead of the new planting season.
