Egyptian fertilizer producer National Company for Intermediate Chemicals (NCIC) has issued a new international tender to sell multiple fertilizer products for March loading, while also confirming the calcium ammonium nitrate grade as CAN26.
The tender will close on 19 February, according to market sources.
Fertilizers Offered in NCIC March Tender
NCIC is offering several fertilizer products in the latest tender, covering phosphate, nitrogen, and specialty fertilizers.
The tender includes:
| Product | Quantity | Previous Tender Sales Price (FOB) |
|---|---|---|
| DAP | 20,000 tons | $725–745/t |
| TSP | 25,000 tons | $547–550/t |
| Granular Urea | 20,000 tons | $475/t |
| CAN26 | 20,000 tons | $315–325/t |
| SOP (water-soluble) | 1,000 tons | $560–580/t |
Strong Demand in Previous Tender
In its previous tender, NCIC sold:
60,000 tons of DAP, likely for shipment to Europe
18,000 tons of TSP
12,000 tons of granular urea
5,000 tons of CAN26, out of 34,000 tons offered
1,000 tons of water-soluble SOP
That tender covered February loading and closed on 25 January.
Urea Prices Strengthen
Since NCIC’s last tender, granular urea prices have increased, with spot prices for shipments to Europe rising to around $490–500 per ton FOB, compared with $475/t FOB in the previous tender.
The price increase reflects improving seasonal demand and tighter global supply conditions in the nitrogen fertilizer market.
