Casablanca, Morocco: The OCP Bangladesh Fertilizer Agreement has been renewed for the 2026-2027 crop season, strengthening the long-term partnership between OCP Nutricrops and the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC). Under the agreement, OCP Nutricrops will supply up to 1.3 million tonnes of phosphate fertilizers, including 750,000 tonnes of Triple Super Phosphate (TSP), to support Bangladesh’s agricultural sector.
OCP Bangladesh Agreement Supports Food Security
The renewed OCP Bangladesh Agreement will help Bangladesh maintain a stable supply of phosphate fertilizers during the upcoming crop season. The fertilizer shipments are expected to improve soil fertility, increase crop productivity, and support the country’s food security goals. The agreement, signed on June 25 in Casablanca, extends a partnership that has existed since 2008.
OCP Bangladesh Agreement Expands Agricultural Cooperation
Beyond fertilizer supplies, the OCP Bangladesh Agreement reflects broader cooperation between Morocco and Bangladesh. Earlier this year, the OCP Foundation signed a three-year partnership with Bangladesh’s Ministry of Agriculture to provide farmer training, agronomic knowledge sharing, and soil health improvement programs. These initiatives are designed to promote sustainable farming practices and improve long-term agricultural productivity across the country.
